YOUNG BOY WRESTLER

The death of a teenage sumo trainee, who was beaten savagely by his stable-master and bullied mercilessly by older wrestlers, has thrown open the secretive world of the national sport of Japan and horrified its fans.Yesterday’s tearful public appearance by the father of the dead boy is likely to destroy the dignified image of sumo for ever.Match-fixing allegations and other scandals that have arisen this year have already dented sumo’s image as a sport of noble traditions and samurai honour. The death of 17-year-old Takashi Saito has exposed it as a murky domain where bullying is rife and violence is part of daily life.Weeping, he demanded that the Sumo Association tell the truth and take steps to prevent a repeat of the abuse that cost the life of Takashi.Masato Saito begged the sport’s authorities to end their cover-up of his son’s sudden death.
In what would be the first arrest of a sumo stable-master, police sources said that they were likely to charge Junichi Yamamoto in the next few days with causing the death of his teenage jonokuchi – the most junior rank of wrestler. As details of Takashi’s death have trickled out – officially he died from heart failure in June while preparing for a tournament – a grim reality has emerged. The life of aspiring young sumo wrestlers is notoriously tough, but until yesterday it was always assumed that the stable-masters had the best interests of their wrestlers at heart and knew where to draw the line. Hit repeatedly on the head with a beer bottle by his instructor, kicked by his fellow students and later pummelled with a metal baseball bat, Takashi’s short career in sumo has been exposed as a daily ordeal.
As punishment for his desertion, his mobile phone was smashed to bits to deny him any contact with his family and the outside world. He ran away twice from the stable but was forced back into the fold by older wrestlers. In a move that Mr Saito now regrets bitterly, he told his son to stick it out rather than quit.On the day before his death Takashi was forced to endure an ordeal that coroners at Niigata University believe may have led to his death. Butsukari geiko is so fierce that wrestlers are limited to only three or four minutes. On the day before he died Takashi was exposed to 30 minutes of battery by bigger, stronger wrestlers. As part of their training regime, wrestlers are put through regular sessions of butsukari geiko – a bone-crunching process in which young sumo are repeatedly charged into by their peers to prepare them for the violence in a match. The aftermath of his death has revealed increasingly desperate attempts by the stable-master to cover up what went on at his school.Initially, Mr Yamamoto denied that there had been any violence involved in the boy’s death. Then Takashi’s parents became suspicious when the stable-master offered to pay for a quick cremation of their son. When the body was returned to them covered in bruises and scars, they demanded the postmortem examination that revealed what had happened. The scandal comes as sumo is trying desperately to win back the support of ordinary Japanese – fans who have recoiled in horror at a series of match-fixing allegations and the perceived ill-treatment of its Mongolian grand champion, Asashoryu, who is now receiving medical treatment for a stress-related disorder.

NEW WRESTLERS

For those keeping track, Dolph Ziggler has taken part in twenty-six Intercontinental title matches at various events within the past few months, losing all but two. He won one match via count-out with another match being ruled a double count-out. Furthermore, he has come up short in retrieving the title on television on seven different occasions including Night of Champions, SummerSlam, Hell in the Cell and four separate episodes of Friday Night SmackDown.Ziggler was at one point scheduled to win the title from Rey Mysterio over the summer, but the high-flying Superstar vetoed dropping the title to him on more than one occasion. When push came to shove as a result of a 30-day suspension for violating the company’s drug testing policy in early September, Mysterio agreed to drop the title to John Morrison. Now it appears that the ship has sailed on Ziggler nabbing the gold as WWE officials have reportedly “given up on him.”On a related noted, Ziggler was voted the “Most Deserving of a Title Shot” among his peers in the “Superstar Survey” taken for the latest issue of WWE Magazine.

WRESTLING IN PAKISTAN

In Pakistan wrestling has a long and honourable history which can be traced a couple of centuries back. However, the glorious traditions of wrestling in our country started with the advent of that great son of Kashmir, the mighty Siddiqa who was at the peak of his powers 125 year ago. The great exponent of Pakistan national style of wrestling was Khalifa Nooruddin who lived in the reign of Aurangzeb. However, to this day he is considered the greatest of the great. After Siddiqa, came Boota Pehelwan, the most scientific of the big wrestlers, and on to Ghulam, Rahim Sultaniwala and Karim Bakhsh Paileeraywala. The latter is considered the most scientific wrestler ever produced by this country, a scholar and a master of art of wrestling at 210 lbs., he flattened all opposition. And later we have the advent of the famous late Gama, who claimed the title of word champion; and his remarkable brother, Imam Bakhsh. As a point of interest it is mentioned here that these great wrestlers, without exception were from among people who had migrated from Kashmir. We are concerned with the advent of Olympic freestyle wrestling in Pakistan. It was in 1953 that the Pakistan Amateur Wrestling Federation was formed in Lahore by a few enthusiasts brought the name of Pakistan in this style of wrestling in world competitions. Though the first three National Championships, in 1948, 1950 and 1952 had been held, yet the international rules were not observed fully and it was this lack of knowledge which was responsible, in 1948, for a team being entered in the Greco-Roman style instead of Free-style and scratched from the wrestling competition in the 14th Olympics, in London. It was only on the occasion of the 4th championships, in 1954, under the control of the Federation, that wrestling was held on a proper mat and strictly under the FILA rules. In 1954, a wrestler, Din Muhammad, was responsible for winning the first gold medal in any international competition for Pakistan when he emerged victorious in the flyweight class of the 2nd Asian Games at Manila. The Pakistani wrestlers have won many medals in the British Empire and Commonwealth Games till this country pulled out of that organization. Pakistan had also been dominating in wrestling competitions of the Asian Games alongwith brotherly Muslim country, Iran. But for a decade or so the countries like North and South Korea and Japan have made a tremendous progress in this manly art and have challenged the supremacy of the two Muslim countries. Pakistan's greatest moment of glory in wrestling, rather any individual sport, came during the 1960 Rome Olympics, when welterweight Muhammad Bashir grabbed a bronze medal. This medal won by Pakistan in the free-style competition is the one and only.

NIPPLE WRESTLERS

The men in this Wrestlemania billboard, if you look closely, have no nipples. They were photoshopped out supposedly because of a law in Florida that prohibits the display of nipples. Since men’s nipples are not sexualized in the same way that women’s are, the authors of the law were likely thinking of women’s bodies as they penned this ban. It may illustrate that it is women’s bodies that we think of when we think of bodies on display because of the adoption (by men and women alike in this culture) of a (heteronormative) male gaze.

HISTORY OF NUDE WRESTLER

During the Victorian era, public nakedness was considered obscene. In addition to beaches being segregatec by gender, bathing machines were also used to conceal the naked body. In the early 20th century, exposure of male nipples was considered indecent at some beaches. This is in contrast to in the Middle Ages, when the bething suits worn by men, while covering the genitals, often nonetheless made them quite obvious.
Sport in the modern sense of the word became popular only in the 19th century. Nudity in this context was most common in Germany and the Nordic countries, where Body culture was very much revered (and some say, copied) by Nazi ideologues.
In the Nordic countries, with their sauna culture, nude swimming in rivers or lakes was a very popular tradition. In the summer, there would be wooden bathhouses, often of considerable size accommodating numerous swimmers, built partly over the water; hoardings prevented the bathers from being seen from outside. Originally the bathhouses were for men only; today there are usually separate sections for men and women. For the Olympic Games in Stockholm in 1912, the official poster was created by a distinguished artist. It depicted several naked male athletes (their genitals obscured) and was for that reason considered too daring for distribution in certain countries. Posters for the 1920 Olympics in Antwep, the 1924 Olympics in Paris, and the 1952 Olympics in Helsinki also featured nude male figures, evoking the classical origins of the games. The poster for the 1948 London Olympics featured a classical nude sculpture of a discus thrower.
An occasional—often illegal—naked sideshow is when a member of the public uses a sports venue to perform as a streaker. Streaking became more popular in the 1970s. It wasn't until the 1990s (and after) that nudity became expected at major public events, such as Bay to Breakers and World Naked Bike Ride.

PAKISTANI WRESTLER VS INDIAN WRESTLER

Top wrestlers from India and Pakistan would be sweating it out with each other in the Challenge Cup Dangal (wrestling tournament) scheduled to be held in Lahore next month.
Speaking to media persons during a press conference, Pervaiz Shahid, chairman of CMC Bank Alfalah, the main sponsor of the event, said the tournament would be inaugurated on 13th December in Lahore and the final will be held in Karachi on 20th December.
The winner of the tournament would take home an impressive one million rupees as prize money, The Nation reports.
Interacting with newspersons, top Pakistani wrestler, Bashir Bhola Bhala said he is confident of winning the tournament, as he has already overpowered leading Indian wrestlers in a number of tournaments.

BOLIVIAN WRESTLER

At the largest public gymnasium in El Alto, Bolivia, daylight is fading from the windows, and hundreds of people along the bleachers are growing impatient. They have been sitting for more than two hours now, jeering and whistling and yelling encouragement at the succession of artistas who have faced off in the center of the gym to match wits and perform dazzling feats of strength and skill. But it is growing late, and over the blaring disco music, foot-stomping and impatient whistles can be heard in crescendo: "Bring them on!" The music grows louder, the whistling too; there is a sense that rebellion may be about to erupt, but at last the houselights flash and dim, and the music shifts to the chunka-chunka beat of a modern Bolivian huayno. An announcer emotes into the microphone, the curtains leading to the locker rooms part, and "Amorous Yolanda" and "Evil Claudina," this evening's stars, make their longed-for appearance to ecstatic applause.
Like many of the women of Aymara descent in the audience, Yolanda and Claudina are dressed to the nines in the traditional fashion of the Andean highlands: shiny skirts over layers of petticoats, embroidered shawls pinned with filigreed jewelry, bowler hats. Their costumes glisten in the spotlights while they make a regal progress around the bleachers, greeting their public with the genteel smiles of princesses, twirling and waving gracefully until the music stops. That's the sign for the two women to swing themselves deftly onto the wrestling ring that has been the focus of this afternoon's activity. Swiftly they remove their hats, unpin their shawls, and ... whap, whap, whap! Claudina belts Yolanda one, Yolanda slaps Claudina, Claudina tries to escape, but Yolanda grabs Claudina by her pigtails and spins her around, and WHAM! Claudina whirls through the air, petticoats and braids flying, and lands flat on her back on the mat, gasping like a fish. The audience goes nuts.

MICKEY JAMES VS GAIL KIM

WWE started Summerslam on RAW with two title defences, including Mickey James defending against #1 Contender Gail Kim.
Gail Kim and Mickey James put on a great back and forth with each Diva at times mirroring each other’s moves. The end came when Gail went for a cross body on Mickey that Mickey rolled under. Gail landed hard on her jaw and was basically out of it. Mickey attempted to DDT a dazed Gail Kim only to have Gail counter the DDT on instinct. Mickey’s follow up with a lose spinning leg kick and an elbow toppled Gail backwards onto the mat. It took Mickey a moment to realise Gail wasn’t getting back up before Mickey covered Gail Kim for a three count.
After the match, Mickey helped Gail stand and when she still wasn’t responding, Mickey lifted Gail’s hand with her’s to the crowd.
It looks like Gail really was knocked senseless by the crossbody and we’re hoping she’s alright. Both Mickey and Gail were feeling each other out throughout this rushed 3:30 title defense and we think both girls could put on one hell of a program against each other.
While some people refer to Mickey’s ending elbow as the ELBOW of doom, we seriously think Mickey could have bowled Gail over with the FINGERPOKE of doom at the end. Great match, tough ending and a tough crowd still punch drunk from the return of DX and the beatdown by Legacy.

AKSHAY KUMAR WRESTLER

Bollywood action star Akshay Kumar has ’adopted’ six wrestlers, who are economically backward, in a bid to popularise the sport, an official said Wednesday.”Akshay’s decision came days before the 10th All India Wrestling Championship opens here Feb 1. Participants and lovers of this sport from all over India are expected to gather here,” said Sanjay Nirupam, Congress spokesman in Maharashtra and organiser of the event.
“Last year, when Akshay attended the programme, he had publicly expressed a desire to adopt a few wrestlers to encourage more to take up the ancient Indian sport. We are happy that he has honoured the commitment,” Nirupam told.Nirupam introduced six of the year’s best wrestlers to Akshay and the star readily accepted the proposal. The wrestlers are – Bipin Varma, Ajay Yadav, Kallu Yadav, Gopal Yadav (all from Mumbai), Amol Patil (Jalgaon) and Ranjeet Nalawade (Kolhapur).
Nirupam said that the ’adoption’ means that Akshay will sponsor their diet for the next five years.”Wrestlers usually hail from economically backward sections and are unable to afford the specialised diet to excel in the challenging sport. Akshay’s sponsorship will go a long way in helping these six wrestlers confidently tackle domestic and international challenges, including the next Olympics – our prime target,” Nirupam explained.
While Akshay is a self-confessed fitness freak and martial arts lover, his father Hari Om Bhatia was an accomplished wrester from Punjab.Akshay had committed last year that he would bear the costs – “whatever be the amount” – of the professional needs of the selected wrestlers and ensure that their career did not run aground due to financial constraints. The Wrestling Championship is organised by Maharashtra Wrestling Association (MWA) and will see the participation of a few women wrestlers too. The event will be held at the Andheri Sports Complex here.

How to Understand Wrestling Holds

1- Understand the clinch. The clinch is one of the most loved and hated holds in wrestling and grappling sports. A clinch generally involves one wrestler holding his opponent in a dominant position while both wrestlers are still standing. The clinch comes in familiar forms like the bear hug and high clinch and more specialized forms such as the overhook and pinch grip clinch that are used in Greco-Roman wrestling.
2- Learn the pinning hold. Pinning holds are used to keep an opponent in place on the ground until a better move or position can be attained. There are many different kinds of pinning holds from different wrestling and grappling arts. In certain wrestling sports such as judo, maintaining a pinning hold on an opponent for a certain amount of time constitutes a win.
3- Watch for submission and pain compliance holds. Submission holds constitute the fight or match ending moves in a number of wrestling sports. There are hundreds of pain compliance holds that vary in form from joint and bone locks and pressure application to chokes. Wrestlers and martial artists constantly maneuver to get their opponent locked into a submission hold to win the fight. So check out pinning holds to better understand wrestling holds.
4- Know the common holds. There are a few holds that are used or attempted in almost every fighting match that incorporates wrestling holds. Among these common holds are the triangle choke, the arm bar, the shoulder wrench, the guillotine choke, the Achilles lock and the wrist lock. Watch wrestling matches to identify the common holds in order to better understand wrestling holds in general.

HOT MARYSE OUELLET

Maryse Ouellet was born January 21, 1983. WWE diva Maryse is a French Canadian glamour model and professional wrestler currently working for World Wrestling Entertainment on its SmackDown brand, where she is the reigning WWE Divas Champion.
WWE diva Maryse Ouellet start her career as a beauty pageant contestant, winning Miss Hawaiian Tropic Canada 2003 and finishing second at the International Finals of Miss Hawaiian Tropic 2004. She made the final cut and was one of the top eight featured on WWE, but on the July 24 episode of WWE Raw she became the second person to be eliminated from the search. Despite her elimination, she was invited to observe workouts and the training facility between August 13-17, 2006 at WWE's developmental facility, Ohio Valley Wrestling. Although she understood that there was no guarantee that this will lead to full time employment with the WWE, she was grateful to have been given another opportunity to live out her dream. Stating in a WWE.com interview "I can just cry, my feeling right now," Ouellet said. "I'm very excited, it was very, very good news."

TOP MEN WRESTLER

1.THE Undertaker:
Since entering the WWE in 1990, the Undertaker has had several scary transformations. He started off as a zombie-like mortician who would stuff his opponents in a body bag. A few years later, he became the head of the cult-like Ministry of Darkness. He sacrificed his enemies on a giant symbol, tried to embalm Steve Austin, and attempted to marry Stephanie McMahon in a bizarre dark wedding. This mysterious individual has ever-changing supernatural powers. He now has the ability to send his opponents to hell. After a 2008 match against Edge, he threw him through the mat and with the movement of his arms flames appeared from the hole he sent Edge through.
2. Papa Shango

Papa Shango was a voodoo master that would come to the ring with a smoking skull. He is most famous for putting a curse on the Ultimate Warrior which once caused him to vomit on national TV. He also caused a black ooze to seep out of Warrior’s hair. Papa Shango went onto be known as the Godfather, the first pimp in WWF history.
3. Kane

Kane is the son of an affair between Paul Bearer and the Undertaker’s mother. Kane and his half-brother have been both the greatest of enemies and the best of friends. Like his half-brother, he can be exceptionally ruthless and impervious to pain. He has set several people on fire during his time in the WWE, forced Lita to marry him, and tortured Shane McMahon by attaching a car battery to his private parts. He is so scary that he starred in a horror movie, See No Evil, and didn't need any makeup.
4. Jake Roberts

Jake used to come to the ring with his python Damien. After Damien was squashed by Earthquake, Jake went off the deep-end. His new snake was a cobra named Lucifer. That snake is most famous for gnawing on the arm of Randy Savage for several minutes. During that era, he also turned on his friend the Ultimate Warrior by talking him into doing some bizarre stunts to prepare for a feud with the Undertaker. He made Warrior stay in a coffin, be buried up to his neck, and enter a room full of snakes.
5. Kevin Sullivan

During the '80s, Kevin was a leader of a cult in the Florida wrestling promotion. The Army of Darkness did not care about titles; they were after the soul of Dusty Rhodes. A decade later, that character was repacked as the Taskmaster in WCW. In WCW, he led a group called the Dungeon of Doom that wanted to kill Hulkamania.
6. Abdullah the Butcher

Abdullah was a 400-plus pound wrestler who was more interested in using his fork on the head of his opponent than trying to pin him. He had the most bizarre physique that allowed him to hide his weapons from the referee. His man-boobs were so large that he could hide a weapon in the folds of fat that hung off his sides. Every time he entered the ring, fans could expect a gory spectacle.
7. Paul Bearer

Paul Bearer started his WWF career as the manager of the Undertaker. For several years, he hosted The Funeral Parlor. He later admitted to having an affair with the Undertaker’s mommy and being the father of Kane. During his years as the manger of both Kane and the Undertaker, he helped both men do some depraved acts. Paul Bearer was murdered by the Undertaker a few years ago when he was buried alive in a concrete crypt.
8. The Boogeyman

The Boogeyman made his debut by reciting scary nursery rhymes and then breaking a clock over his head while screaming that “the Boogeyman is comin’ to getcha.” Despite threatening the fans in such a terrifying manner, the Boogeyman worked for good as he scared the bad guys of the WWE with his zany antics which always included eating a handful of worms.
9. The YetiSometimes

I can’t believe what I am writing. This is one of those cases. After Hulk Hogan killed the Giant by throwing him off the roof of the arena after a monster truck battle, the Giant came back to life and beat Hulk for the title later in the evening. If that wasn’t terrifying enough, after the match the Yeti made one of his rare appearances. The Yeti was a mummy that emerged from his frozen state to do something that can only be described as dry humping the Hulkster.
10. The KISS Demon

It is hard to believe that WCW went out of business when they invested in such great things as paying Gene Simmons to use his likeness as a wrestler. The Demon came out of a coffin accompanied by KISS music to enter the ring. His most famous match was a graveyard match against Vampiro where both men fought in a dimly lit graveyard. Wrestling fans are forever grateful that the gimmick was dropped before we got to see Peter, Paul, and Ace join him in the ring.

UNDERTAKER HISTORY

For nearly 15 years now, the Undertaker has been the unstoppable force in World Wrestling Entertainment. He is the Phenom, the Dead Man, the monster who always seems to be able to rise up no matter the assault. He has made hundreds of wrestlers Rest In Peace, either by Tombstone Piledriving them through the mat or by giving them the devestating Last Ride Powerbomb. He is a four-time WWF/WWE World Heavyweight Champion, and has held the WWF/WWE World Tag-Team Titles half a dozen times. Yet more remarkably than all that, the Undertaker is still going strong as a major threat to any foe that happens to be in his way.
Mark Calloway grew up in Dallas, Texas, where he continued to grow in size and power as he went into high school. He played basketball at West Texas High, with his height (over 6 feet at the time) giving him a sizable advantage in the game. But Calloway's love of the sport was overshadowed by another interest: professional wrestling. Despite being offered athletic scholarships to go to college, Calloway opted to began training as a wrestler instead, where he was discovered by Fritz von Erich and given a referral to Don Jardine, who was better known in wrestling circles as the Spoiler. Calloway debuted as the masked Texas Red in '84, facing (and being brutally beat by) Bruiser Brody. Part of the reason Calloway wore a mask was because of his high school basketball coach, who was reportedly upset at a great b-ball player "wasting his time" with wrestling. When it came down to a choice, though, Calloway went with what he loved: wrestling.

It was announced at the next Raw that the WWF had become World Wrestling Entertainment (due to a lawsuit with the World Wildlife Fund). During the night, the Undertaker's motorcycle was stolen by Hogan, who later destroyed it by hitting it with an 18-wheeler. The Undertaker got revenge in a brutal way the next week, as he attacked Hogan with a tire iron, then chained him to a motorcycle and dragged him behind it, eventually sending Hogan spinning into some boxes. Hogan had to be put on a stretcher. At Judgment Day '02, the two men went at it for Hogan's Undisputed World Title. The match started with the Undertaker using Hogan's own weight belt against him, only to have Hogan steal it back and whip the Undertaker instead. The two legends fought in and out of the ring, with the Undertaker getting busted open at one point. At the end, Hogan "hulked up" and had the Dead Man on the ropes, getting the Immortal Leg Drop, but the Undertaker kicked out at 2. The Undertaker then managed to take Hogan down and grab a chair, only to have the Hulkster kick it back into his face. But when Hogan went for the pin, the ref was distracted by Mr. McMahon, who had come to ringside. While Hogan attacked and Leg Dropped Mr. McMahon, the Undertaker recovered, flattening Hogan with a chair shot, then Chokeslamming him for the pin, winning the WWE World Title for the fourth time.
The Undertaker made an immediate impact on the next Raw, as he attacked Rob Van Dam from behind when RVD was coming out for the first match. The Dead Man claimed that, since he was the World Champ, no one should come out before him. However, before he could finish his speech, a recovered RVD attacked, catching the Undertaker with the Five Star Frog Splash. This led to the Undertaker defending the World Title one night after winning it, and nearly losing it, as RVD pinned him after hitting his Rolling Thunder. But since the Undertaker's feet were on the ropes, the now-heel GM, Flair, restarted the match, and the Undertaker caught the distracted Van Dam with the Last Ride for the victory. The Undertaker continued his brutal streak the next Raw, making Tommy Dreamer drink his tobacco spit, then taking Dreamer out.
Going into June '02, the Undertaker got into a match with Dreamer, beating him with the Dragon Sleeper, then dumping a bucket of vomit that Dreamer had brought to the ring onto the downed wrestler. However, the Undertaker was then attacked by Jeff Hardy, who dropkicked him into the vomit, a disgusting sight. The Undertaker went to get Hardy afterwards, but was only able to find his brother, Matt, whom the Undertaker gladly beat up as a message to Jeff. On the next Smackdown, the Undertaker made an appearance, attacking the man who won the right to challenge for the title at the next PPV, Triple H. The Undertaker then returned to Raw to call out the Hardy Boyz, who decided to answer his call, taking out the Undertaker with a double-team while using a ladder. The feud between the Undertaker & the Hardyz continued the next week, as the Dead Man defeated Matt in a Non-Title Match, thanks in part to Raven helping to take out Jeff. After the match, while Raven subdued Matt, the Undertaker destroyed Jeff. He then spoke in the back afterwards, stating that this was what Triple H had in store for him.
On the Smackdown before the PPV, the Undertaker went to try and assault Triple H after he had just had a match with Billy Gunn. Kurt Angle also came down to help out, but accidentally hit the Undertaker with a steel chair in the process. A furious Undertaker demanded a Non-Title Match with Angle that night, which Mr. McMahon reluctantly gave. Both the Undertaker and Angle talked about destroying each other, which led Mr. McMahon to bring both to his office. The boss tried to get both men to shake hands and agree to have a "clean competition", i.e. not cause any injuries before the PPV. But the two men couldn't be contained, as things erupted into a brawl in the boss's office! The match was just as intense, with both men looking for a big move for the win. Near the end, the Undertaker managed to escape the Ankle Lock, then got a Chokeslam. But he was then distracted by Triple H, who came to ringside. Angle then rolled up the Undertaker from behind, getting the quick victory! Afterwards, the Undertaker and Triple H brawled, while Angle had to deal with Hulk Hogan.
The fight between the Undertaker and Triple H at King of the Ring '02 was a brutal one, as old emotions roared to the surface. During the match, the referee was taken out, adding to the chaos. This was only heightened as the Rock came to the announcers' table. Meanwhile, the Undertaker tried to use a steel chair on Triple H, only to be knocked out of the ring. The Undertaker then opted to nail the Rock, before reentering the ring. The Rock followed with the chair, but accidentally hit Triple H instead, bloodying him! The Undertaker quickly took advantage, nailing Triple H with the Last Ride. But when a 2nd ref could only get a 2 count, the Undertaker attacked him as well, throwing him out. This, though, allowed the Rock to reenter and get the Rock Bottom on the Dead Man. Triple H recovered and got the Pedigree, but the 1st ref was still down. As Triple H went to get him up, the Undertaker scored a low blow, then rolled him up for the pin, retaining the Undisputed World Title.
The Undertaker had a Non-Title Match with Jeff Hardy the next day, defeating him with the Last Ride. But a resilient Jeff challenged the Undertaker to another match on the next Raw, a Ladder Match for the Undisputed Title! The Undertaker agreed, setting the stage for a great non-PPV bout.

GOOD FIGHTERS

Lately everyone, including myself, have thought, “Oh, god, Randy Couture is gonna die.”
But this couldn’t be further from the truth. Couture’s less-than-impressive 16 wins, 8 losses record says very little about the champion. For a fighter that has come back at an age when many fighters would end their careers, Couture has only learned from his losses, and has finally begun to shine.Brock Lesnar on the other hand, has merely had the surprising wins that most over-sized MMA fighters have had early in their career, before succumbing to true martial artists.Brock Lesnar’s fight with Heath Herring was a fluke in the nicest way of the word. In fact, Heath Herring has recently said he would like a rematch with Lesnar. What happened in that fight was a lucky punch Herring never saw coming, that in turn, hurt Herring for the rest of the “beating.” Herring never attempted anything in that fight other than defending himself. Now for those of you who still doubt me, I want to point out that Herring, while being a good fighter, never reached the status of the “Elite”; characterized by fighters such as Antonio Rodrigo Noguiera, Fedor Emelianenko, and Mirko “Crocop” Filipovic, in the late Pride FC organization.Herring’s greatest attribute and road to fame comes from his experience fighting these “Elite” fighters. The commentators were right; we didn’t know what Lesnar was going to do because we hadn’t seen him fight before. But now that we have, it should be a fairly straightforward fight for Randy Couture.
It’s not going be easy, just like Gabriel Gonzaga wasn’t easy or Tim Sylvia wasn’t easy. Those two fighters combined have the physical attributes and much more technical skill than Lesnar, yet they lost to “The Natural.”So, is Lesnar a different type of monster? No, he’s the same as Mark Coleman, Mark Hunt, Kevin Randleman, and any other fighter whose physique would make a mere mortal tremble with fear at the thought of stepping in the ring with them. The truth is, this is an epic match, rarely seen since Bas Rutten, a very skilled striker, fought Kevin Randleman, a monster of a wrestler. These epic fights are usually what the great Fedor is known for. I equate Bas with Couture because Bas was the veteran champ against Randleman just like Couture is the veteran champ against Lesnar.

WRESTLING FITNESS AND EXERCISES

Wrestling has been around for a long time. The first time two men grappled and began to battle, wrestling was born. Cave drawings depicting wrestlers from 3000 BC have been found in the Sumero-Akkadian civilization. Some ancient Egyptian civilizations have similar paintings dating back to 2400 BC.
If you're looking to improve your wrestling or just seeking to prevent wrestling injuries it is important to follow the information in this article. In addition, making stretching a part of your fitness regime will have a significant impact. To get you started on a safe and effective stretching routine.
Wrestling as a sport can be traced back to the ancient Olympics. Wrestling was recorded in the 708 BC Olympic records. Since that time wrestling has been practiced throughout the world. There are hundreds of styles of wrestling throughout the world, with many indigenous forms.
There are four main forms of wrestling in the international amateur competitive wrestling arena. These four forms are; Greco-Roman wrestling, freestyle wrestling, judo wrestling, and sombo wrestling. Judo wrestling is often considered one of the martial arts, and is contested separately at the Olympics. Freestyle wrestling is similar to the American collegiate style of wrestling, with relatively unlimited holds (provided they are not dangerous.) Greco-Roman wrestling limits holds to the upper body only. Sombo wrestling is a combination of freestyle and judo wrestling. This version has not yet been added to the Olympic competition.
Wrestling was a part of the first modern Olympic program in 1896. The organizers of the games considered wrestling to be of such historical significance that it became the focus of the Games. Greco-Roman wrestling was believed to be a true reincarnation of ancient Roman and Greek wrestling. Both freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling have been a part of Olympic competition since 1920. Before that only one style was contested. In 2004 four classes of women’s wrestling were introduced at the Olympic Games in Atlanta.
Competitors are weighed prior to competition and compete in the weight category in which they fit. The categories for men are: 55 kg, 60 kg, 66 kg, 74 kg, 84 kg, 96 kg, and 120 kg. For women the categories include; 48 kg, 51 kg, 55 kg, 59 kg, 63 kg, 67 kg, and 72 kg (with 48, 55, 63 and 72 being the ones used in Olympic competition.)
Modern professional wrestling only loosely resembles wrestling at all. It is designed for entertainment instead of sport. The "wrestlers" are arguably still very athletic and often use loose interpretations of traditional wrestling moves. The professional wrestler is more an entertainer than an athlete, and is rewarded for being flamboyant and a good actor.

SHORT HISTORY WOMEN WRESTLING

In the overall history of wrestling, the development of women’s wrestling has been
dramatic. In roughly one generation, we have come from having the novelty of seeing a
very few young girls competing in age-group or high school events, to women competing
for Olympic medals. During this same time there have been changes in the views of the
scientific and medical fields regarding women and their athletic capabilities. I t was only
in the 1984 Los Angeles Olympic Games that women were allowed to run in events
longer than 1,500 meters, with the addition of the 3,000 meters and the marathon. With
the growth of women’s sports, we are finding that there are more similarities in sports
training and performance of men and women, than there are differences.
Participation data from the National Federation of High School Associations list the first
girls in their survey results for the 1979-80 school-year. These numbers have steadily
grown to just over 4,000 for the 2003-04 school year and accounts for 1.7% of the total
participants.
Data from USA Wrestling shows a similar pattern. Membership totals, separated by
gender, are available beginning in 1995, and lists 1,525 girls and women. This had
grown to 3,442 in 2004, out of a total of 135,519. California and Kansas have the most
female competitors with 677 and 373, respectively.
Internationally, the roots of women’s wrestling are in France. Following the
establishment of female wrestling clubs and hosting a first national championship in
1973, female wrestling was adopted by the French Wrestling Federation in 1977. They
led the lobbying to establish women’s wrestling within FILA, the international governing
body of wrestling, which was accomplished in 1982. The first world championships
were held in 1987, with France the team champions. While the USA was represented
with competitors since this first world championship, USA Wrestling did not hold their
first national championships for women until 1990. The USA won the world team
championship in 1999. Last fall in Athens we were all proud to watch Patricia Miranda
and Sara McMann win the first Olympic medals for the USA in women’s wrestling.
My earliest contact with women competing in wrestling came in the early 70’s, when as a
college student, along with several teammates, I helped to coach the Ann Arbor
Wrestling Warriors. I’ll never forget Tricia McNaughton (now Saunders) and her long
pony-tail, as she and her brother trained and successfully competed. Tricia won four
world championships in her storied career. (Zeke Jones also had his start with this club at
the same time. There aren’t very many kids clubs that can boast two world champions!)
In the USA, the development of female wrestlers is associated with boy’s programs.
Because of this, there is competition between the sexes, and the concerns for safety and
equity, not to mention social, psychological and cultural issues. This is not always the
case in other countries. I was in Beijing last summer at a regional sports school for
students between the ages of 17-22. There was a training hall with 75 boys and coaches,
and next to this gym was another with 75 girls and coaches training their freestyle.
Developmentally, there are not many concerns with competition between the sexes prior
to male puberty. At any given chronological age, girls are farther along in their
development than boys. Growth curves are more or less parallel until about 9 to 12 years
of age, and during this time the body mass of girls is the same or slightly greater than the
boys. Height is similar, but usually differences of 1-2 kg in the strength of various
muscle groups favor boys. At about 11 years of age, girls have their adolescent growth
spurt, and surge ahead of boys in height and weight. Boys will begin their growth spurt
at around 13 years of age. It is at this point that the differences between relative amounts
of bone, muscle and fat become most apparent. Increased levels of testosterone in males
will cause greater muscularity and skeletal size, while increased levels of estrogenic
hormones result in greater body fat deposits in women. These body fat differences are
roughly 8-10% higher in women, but often lower when comparing male and female
athletes. The amount of “sex-specific” fat that women must have above and beyond the
level for good health in men has not been firmly established. It is thought to be around
5%. On the average, males have a greater proportion of this subcutaneous fat in the
upper body and abdominal region, whereas women will carry more of their fat on their
hips and thighs. This also contributes to the center of gravity being lower in women.
The center of gravity is where the mass of the body is balanced in all thee planes. A low
center of gravity is associated with greater stability.
Some of the most important differences are seen in the cardiovascular and muscular
systems. Women have a lower blood volume with fewer red blood cells (6% fewer) and
less hemoglobin (15% less) which results in less oxygen carrying capacity. Because they
also have typically smaller hearts, this will result in a higher training heart rate for a
given load when compared to men. The ability to deliver oxygen to the exercising
muscles is about 20-25% less than in men. Women will have a smaller muscle mass and
on average be 40-60% weaker in the upper body and 25% weaker in lower body strength.
Notice that I said “on average” in the preceding sentence. There are some women who
are stronger than some men. What is the effect of cultural or sociological expectations on
getting the “true” physiological comparison? I like to look at comparisons of elite
athletes, because these people are not bound by any social limitations. Their only focus
is on doing their best. When I look at the world records in the running events in track
from 100 meters to the marathon, women average about 90% of the men’s performance.
A look at swimming world records gave strikingly similar results, with women at 91% of
the men’s performance. A look at Olympic weightlifting shows women at about 77% of
men’s performance, but still closer than the differences cited in some physiology texts.
Dr. Harold Tunnemann of Germany has studied the sport-specific strength of some world
champion women and was astonished to find a champion at 55 kg who exceeded the
men’s national team average force on their gut wrench machine.
When I speak to coaches and wrestlers about differences between wrestling for men and
women, the list is not very long. Amy Borgnini and Mary Kelly, both nationally ranked
wrestlers in the USOEC resident program at Northern Michigan University, cite strength
levels as the biggest difference. I mentioned the concern that I have for young boys when
they lose to a girl. Kelly stated, “I’ve beaten a lot of boys, and I’ve never noticed this
having any long-term psychological effects on them. They didn’t quit the sport or
anything.”
It is important to educate all female wrestlers, their parents, and coaches about the
potential health consequences of inadequate energy intake and high levels of exercise.
The female athlete triad is a syndrome occurring in physically active girls and women.
The interrelated components are disordered eating, amenorrhea (disruption in menstrual
cycles), and osteoporosis. Pressure placed on young women to achieve or maintain
unrealistically low body weight underlies development of the triad. Adolescents and
women training in sports in which low body weight is emphasized for athletic activity or
appearance are at greatest risk.
Disordered eating refers to a wide range of harmful eating behaviors used in attempts to
lose weight or achieve a lean appearance. These behaviors range from food restriction to
binging and purging, to anorexia nervosa and bulimia nervosa. Amenorrhea can be the
absence of menstruation by age 16 (primary), or an absence of 3 or more menstrual
cycles in a previously menstruating female (secondary or athletic amenorrhea). In some
cases, the decrease in estrogen production can lead to osteoporosis and bone fractures.
All of our wrestlers must be educated about proper nutrition and safe training practices.
However, our women wrestlers must be educated about the warning signs of the triad.
They should also be referred for medical evaluation at the first sign of any of the
components of the triad.
The growth of women’s wrestling faces more challenges. In the US, we have to find a
way to create more opportunities for women to wrestle women during the scholastic
years. World-wide, there are over 80 countries with women’s programs, but some of the
most fundamentalist Islamic countries (Iran and Saudi Arabia) do not allow international
competition. Last month, while at an international tournament in Morocco, I spoke to the
women wrestlers. These Muslim women said that their society sees no conflict between
sport participation and their religion. They train with the men, and they often wrestle
with the men. When asked when they foresee women from Iran and Saudi Arabia in
tournaments, they all answered, “Never!” I think it will be sooner.
I see a wonderful future for women’s wrestling. It is a great opportunity to get more
people involved in our great sport. There is also a large amount of research to be done in
this relatively new area of women’s wrestling.

WOMEN WRESTLER

I know this is a departure from my usual stand on female fighters.I usually try to focus on women that are talented rather than just look good. But I thought, why not for once do something that incorporates both? So here are some women from the worlds of wrestling, boxing, martial arts and MMA that not only look good, but ARE good!By the way, this list is in no particular order.
Sarah Ponce is a fashion model and a swimsuit model. You may have seen her work in the Ujena swimsuit catalogs. But this woman is a knockout in more ways than one. She's not had kickboxing training, but training in Sanshou, a Chinese hand to hand combat, self-defense system, and combat sport.Sarah is so good that she was a member of the USA Sanshou team at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. And that's not all....she was the IKF Women’s Amateur IR U.S. Featherweight Champion, the USKBA Amateur Women’s San Da Lightweight International Champion, and WCL veteran with the Houston Enforcers. She is a member of Team USA and competed at the 9th World Wushu Championships in Beijing, China. Sarah was also a U.S. team member at the 2005 World Wushu Championships which took place in Vietnam.
Michelle "The Karate Hottie" Waterson was born on January 6, 1986 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She made her MMA debut on February 16, 2007 at Ring of Fire 28: Evolution with a win over Andrea Miller. Her current MMA record is 5-3-0. Michelle's last fight was a loss to Elena Reid on April 11th, 2009 at SNMMA - Extreme Beatdown.
I have sung the praises of Elizabeth Carolan (Beth Phoenix) on several Hubs and blogs, but the "Glamazon" really is a force to be reckoned with. Besides being the first female varsity wrestler in her high school's history, she was the North-East Wrestling Women's Champion (72 kg weight class) in 1999 and also the New York State Fair Women's Champion (72 kg weight class) in the same year. I know pro wrestling is scripted, but this lady's wrestling skill and raw power isn't.

BEAUTIFUL GIRLS WRESTLER

Female combat, especially wrestling, is as old as written history. From the ancient Greeks and Romans to the story of the Amazons, women have battled men and each other since time began. The competitiveness of women cannot be subdued and will go on forever.

SEXY WOMEN WRESTLER

Men just simply love women wrestling..its such a pleasure to the eyes..they don't even care who is gonna win or loose, they just want to see someone getting in bras and panties at the end..and believe me men watching at home get into there underpants as well..but not me of course..hmmmm so where was i..oh yes women wrestling..
I have made one very important discovery (well sort of) that the women wrestling is totally fake..because they are not made for it....common guys..they are made for Porn..Porn and Porn !! all they do when they come to wrestle is to show there huge muscles which they have made through some serious "Jobs"..
Just imagine if these girls were wrestling for real they would for certain have some body like this..un-natural small breasts,a bit chubby stomach and an ass worth not to die for..and when watching them we should have said "go girl go...beat her off...and hey don't take of her shirt plz"
But i know ..after all what i have said to you...you men will still watch the fake wrestling with those fake bodies... !! so go ahead i wont stop you :)

HOT FEMALE WRESTLERS

Some producers needed to raise money for the post-production of their independent horror film entitled Virgin Murders. So, they held a female mud wrestling competition between the stars of the movie and any Phoenix area women who wanted to go head to head with them. Hmmm. Isn’t it any guy’s dream to watch some girl on girl action? Hey, who cares if it’s in the mud, right?
The women squared off in a blow up kiddie pool that was filled with 200 pounds of gray clay and water. The matches lasted 10 minutes or less, depending upon how quickly a woman pinned the other for five seconds. The winner of the competition won a $100 gift certificate to the adult store “Fascinations”. Hey, now that’s sexy!!

Judging from the photos below, looks like the guys enjoyed watching those
“dirty girls”, didn’t they?
