WHO CAN WRESTLERS FIGHT

I have to say although this question probably is one of those pointless ones like, "could God create a rock so big that He couldn't lift it", it is interesting to think about.I would have to say that the AVERAGE highschool wrestler could beat the AVERAGE guy on the street. As far as the average boxer is concerned. It's been my experience that a highschool wrestler works out and practices his moves in the gym....the average boxer does the same. The whole point of joining a boxing club (just like a wrestling team) it to fight and compete. I don't think that you will find too many lazy, undeveloped boxers...like you might find of some of the people in a Karate dojo. The sytles of wrestling and boxing are very different and IMHO I think that it's hard to say how it would go. Boxers are trained to move quickly on their feet and to jump out of the way. Wrestlers are trained to try to grab you. I think it would end up being alot of "na na na you can't catch me" crap until someone got tired. If the wrestler is tough he might even take a few punches and just smile about it. Eventually, I think that unless they were outside with alot of room, the wrestler IS going to get a hold. That doesn't mean that he would win, though. Highschool wrestlers train to pin you...not to break your bones or choke you out. So what would he do? Sit on you until he got bored? Then he gets up and gets knocked out? Who knows. There is no answer to this...but it's fun to think about sometimes. Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) and Pro Wrestling-related projects are more-prevalent-than-ever in today’s Entertainment, Theatrical and Commercial sectors. Consequently, more and more Production Companies are finding themselves immersed in these unique worlds.

WRESTLERS TRAINING

Parents and coaches are always concerned about what age their child or athlete can safely begin a weight training program. Scot Davis, the all-time winningest coach in amateur wrestling history, takes on the myths and rumors of lifting weights at the youth level and demonstrates safe lifting techniques and circuits for young wrestlers. A major consideration for wrestlers is weight management. Rapid weight loss to make a weight category has profound adverse effects on the wrestler's physiology, particularly in relation to strength endurance (1). Both nutritional and training techniques can help to minimize any weight reduction required in the first place and also to minimize the negative effects of rapid weight loss. In a sport that many spectators characterize as sudden, explosive attacks and counterattacks that are executed on a repeated basis for duration up to 6 minutes or until an opponent has been pinned, the need for endurance training is simple, to develop the energy production system(s) to meet the demands of a wrestling match.

WOMEN WRESTLERS MEN

In wrestling class, there are social signals, clear signals, one gives to indicate there is nothing sexual going on nor is there any sexual interest. First, do not look at anyone when you change. No one looks at you, either. If I have to change my top, I go to the bathroom. But if it just my jeans, I do it on the far side of the ring from the guys. The guys do not look. I do not look at them. The trainer yells at any of the new kids who just out of natural curiosity look anyone else. He suggests that they are looking for x, y, and z. Tells the whole class, loudly, they are asking for x, y, and z. They do not look again. When the men touch each other in the ring, they make a lot of homophobe comments that indicated "this is not sexual when I touch you there." The homophobic comments die off as they get comfortable with each other. I did the same with them only heterosexual comments. No one in class bothers me even slightly. In fact, I feel completely safe there. It is an entirely consensual environment. To make an analogy, it was not one of those "don't talk about the elephant in the room" situations, we talked about the elephant, detailed its parts, and realized we could live with it safely and respectfully. There is no sense one should not express one's concerns about learning any move for any reason. I am not fond of moves that require me to get too close to men's privates. I made a modified school boy so I wouldn't have to do that. It looked great. I told my teacher that I would not do a certain move that would require a man sitting on the top rope to have have his legs over my shoulders and his junk in face. No issues there. There are a lot of different wrestling moves, one need not do them all.To women wrestling men the accursed Iroquois. Eyes of a man needs only an hour after the motive of interest that I would never have been thrown away upon a wind without praying God it could be reached by an invitation, t would be N. B. Davis, and on board the Henlopen, a slight tap at the fort; or even of women toward women.

WRESTERS DIET

First of all, we need to slow down your metabolism as much as possible. A slower metabolism will ensure weight gain, but also make it difficult to lose weight. To accomplish this we are going to eat only twice a day. Each meal will consist of very large portions of high glycemic foods: Potatoes, Candy, cookies, juices or soda with high sugar content, white pastas, anything with white or processed flour, white rice, or sweet snacks.Wrestlers who cut weight often deny themselves the very nutrients they need to perform well. Many wrestlers either don't care about proper nutrition or they simply do not know any better. Wrestlers often think of food and water only in terms of gaining weight. They forget that food provides nutrients to fuel their bodies. However, the scientific facts are simple: poor nutrition will hamper performance. The body cannot function at its best when it lacks vital nutrients. Many wrestlers do not receive the proper nutrition that is required to compete in this physically demanding sport. This is generally due to a wrestler's "low priority approach" to his nutritional needs and/or misinformation.

WRESTLERS HOBBIES

Many of the established Japanese wrestlers were unwilling to share their experience with the young Canadian wrestler. It was not until she ran into a touring Dynamite Kid that she was able to gain a greater grasp of how to deal with her fellow wrestlers. From the 1930’s to the 1960’s, pro wrestling was a male dominated sport both in the ring and out. There were very few women at the halls and arenas watching the action until women like Mildred Burke, the Fabulous Moolah, Mae Young and others bringing women to the forefront. More and more women started to come to the shows and who didn’t enjoy the little old ladies at ringside yelling at the bad guys and trying to hit them with their canes and umbrellas. Then in the 70’s and 80’s, women like Medusa Micelli and Wendi Richter brought women’s wrestling into the mainstream. There was even a women’s wrestling organization in the late 80’s and early 90’s called G.L.O.W., which stands for Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling. Women went from being just valets to wrestling and making an indelible mark in professional wrestling. One of the most fearsome women to ever enter a wrestling ring, Rhonda Sing has lead a long and fascinating career few North American wrestling fans are aware of.

WRESTLERS SEX

Wrestling is a male-dominated sport in terms of participation, commonly perceived as a masculine sport due to the requirement of muscular strength, courage, fighting spirit, as well as and the element of combat. Integral to achieving wrestling skills and physical capability is muscularity, something which may contradict common perceptions of feminine body appearance. The objective of this study is to examine female elite wrestlers' enactment of the wrestler's role and how they experienced enhancement of skills and bodily structure.Last year, a promising Minnesota high school wrestler had to wrestle a girl at his sectional meet in order to proceed to the state tournament. His school, a private Christian institution, generally requires its wrestlers to forfeit to girls, thereby incurring a loss for both the wrestler and the team. The young man clearly didn't want to wrestle the girl. But given the stakes, after consulting with his father and his coach, he decided to proceed. Our society tends to frame the debate over mixed-sex wrestling in the familiar terms of physical safety and legal rights. Critics frequently note, for example, that the practice poses health risks for adolescent females. Teenage boys have significantly greater muscle mass than girls, and can injure them when wrenching their joints, or lying heavily on top of them. Most boys have absorbed this lesson. The U.S. Air Force discovered this 10 years ago, when its Survival, Evasion, Resistance and Escape (SERE) program carried out internal psychological surveys to prepare for the advent of female combat pilots. These surveys revealed that men react with significantly greater emotion when female colleagues are subjected to simulated stress and violence, than they do when male colleagues are similarly threatened. (To combat this tendency, SERE attempted to desensitize men by using a variety of techniques, like a realistic rape scenario, in order to overcome protective attitudes toward women that an enemy might exploit.)

WRESTLING HEIGHT

In Bristol Tennessee, at King College, women have a new sport: wrestling. The addition of a women’s program raised some concern but each athlete has to hold their own ”whether they wear a jock strap or a sports bra.” The women prove themselves on and off the mat, both in practice and in matches. The coach sees no difference in the method of coaching between his male and female athletes. The women are trained just as hard as the men, and that is just what they want!Since the turn of the twentieth century wrestling started being very common form of performance on Russian circus rings. Wrestling matches had held before but just since that time Russian, European and world championships in "French wrestling" started taking place (other names for this form are "Greek-Roman" wrestling or "classic" wrestling where holds below the belt are prohibited). Wrestling competitions were organized not only in circuses but also in summer theaters, skating rinks and even on zoo gardens. One of the advertisements in Tbilisi said: "Opening of the international men's wrestling championship". The word "men's" was not accidental there because women wrestlers were regular members of many circus troupes.

WRESTLERS DRUG TEST

Three Russian wrestlers were also dismissed from the world of sumo last year due due to marijuana-related charges prompting widespread calls for steps to be taken to clean up the sport.“This is a great tournament, and we look forward to it every year,” Wolfpack coach Carter Jordan said. “It’s a great measuring stick for our program. We’ve done pretty well here the last two years. We were 14th two years ago and Darrion [Caldwell] won at 149 the last two years, so we’ve had some success here. Our team is a little different this year, younger but more balanced, so it will be interesting to see how we fare.”Last year, a random drug testing regime was also introduced to the sport for the first time in a bid to eliminate the growing issue of wrestlers allegedly taking performance-boosting drugs.

WRESTLING JAPANESE OR MEXICAN

People today, unless they seek it out on the Internet, aren't exposed to Japanese or Mexican wrestling. While there have been demands for some women in wrestling to "step up their game", some to go away, and some to get the spotlight, the end response of those in the crowds at wrestling shows tends to be that of catcalls, leaving to go to the bathroom or the concession stands, or of complete ignorance. If you want to just see women take it to each other in every single match without the skin-flashing or hair-flipping, these are the kind of women to watch.
Many in the wrestling community are all too familiar with these hard decisions. Dozens of men’s teams have been eliminated over the past three decades, a phenomenon many coaches attribute to Title IX.

CRAZY WOMEN WRESTLERS

The girls don’t fit the preconceived profile of solidly built, rugged wrestlers. Eliza Muhammed, 16, barely hits five feet in height while Rahkeiyyah Loyal, 15, sports shoulder-length hair, large hoop earrings and long, artistically manicured fingernails. So popular has the sport become for women that all-female wrestling will make its Olympic debut in the 2004 Summer Games. Loyal and Muhammed, both juniors at Newark’s Central High School, are the only girls on the school’s 40-member wrestling team. What makes two young women enter into a sport that Central High’s head wrestling coach, James Waldron, 27, described as “a disgusting, smelly world?”

There are a few good spots. McCool hits Melina with a running knee into the fan barrier and gets a 2 count. McCool applies a leg submission on Melina. McCool counters and DDT’s Melina off the top of the fan barrier wall. Melina wraps her legs around the neck from the apron and throws McCool around. McCool catches Melina with a belly to belly suplex for a 2 count. Melina goes for a pin from the top rope but McCool reverses it with a roll up for the pinfall and the win.

WHAT IS WRESTLER

Sport in which two competitors grapple with and strive to trip or throw each other down or off-balance. It is practiced in various styles, including freestyle wrestling, in which contestants can use holds above and below the waist, and Greco-Roman wrestling, which allows only holds above the waist. Sambo is a style of Russian origin employing judo techniques.Wrestling cannot change the nature of man.But it can be used to bring out qualities that are intended to lead, encourage, challenge, and entertain others.Sumo wrestling is a specialized Japanese variety. U.S. professional wrestling is today among the most popular of all spectator sports, though it principally involves wildly flamboyant showmanship, including such nonclassical moves as kicks to the head that would be lethal if they were not actually pulled.

WOMEN SEXY WRESTLERS

For Years Women have been fighting Men for the spotlight, and until recently Women's Wrestling was not looked highly upon, it was an underground thing. Women Wrestled, Grappled, Fought, and Defended their Honor underground. Recently though Women's Wrestling has come out from the Underground and made its presence known. With Tremendous Fighters, some of whom could surely take on any man and win, and performances that certainly outdo any of those highly paid jocks of "Pro-Wrestling".In case you've been living under a rock and don't know Angelina Love is a hot wrestling diva with TNA. With TNA she teamed up with Velvet Sky as the Beautiful People. She is one of the better wrestling divas with TNA

WRESTLERS SCANDAL

Paul Donahoe and Kenny Jordan were let go Tuesday, three days after a blog posted images of them taken from Fratmentv.com, a Web site featuring naked or partially clothed male athletes."The history of behavior of these men, including the current matter, does not reflect the standard of excellence we aspire to on and off the mat," coach Mark Manning said in a statement. "We have outstanding student-athletes in our program and we will move forward in a positive manner toward our goals. At about the same time, senior wrestlers were fending off allegations of match fixing made in a weekly magazine. Among those named was none other than Asashoryu, a fearsome, technically unrivaled wrestler with a reputation for flouting etiquette, much to the fury of the sport’s conservative elders.
A few adjustments to his positioning, a seamless change of grip and Asashoryu, the world’s greatest sumo wrestler, dispatches yet another opponent with consummate ease.

WRESTLER MARRIED

On New Hart Foundation:“I really enjoyed watching ECW Tuesday evening and the introduction of David Hart Smith joining his cousin Natalya and “might as well be family” Tyson Kidd which I thought was really cool. I have huge respect for the Hart Family and being on site when this rendition of the Canada Wrestling Dynasty debuted was a thrill for me. Smith is an athletic freak and demonstrated much more aggression than I have ever seen from him. I clearly see that the son of the late British Bulldog and Diana Hart can and will get even more physical and nasty much sooner than later which will eventually take him to the Promised Land. Tyson Kidd is a tremendous hand as well and Kidd’s match with the veteran Finlay was more exciting to me than any match that I saw on Monday night and Raw had some interesting bouts. Natalya adds so much to this presentation as well and she is my favorite WWE Diva if you are keeping score at home. Business just picked up on ECW and I am jealous that this trio aren’t SD regulars.”
Nancy Benoit was a wrestling stage manager who worked under the name "Woman." The two met in the 1990s when she was married to rival wrestler Kevin Sullivan. She left Sullivan and married Benoit in 2000.

WRESTLING WORKOUT

Wrestling is one of the most physically demanding sports on the planet.
You need explosive power, cat-like quickness, and endurance. And most importantly, you need to peak at the right time for your championship matches.Wrestling workouts should be designed to enhance the wrestler's ability to develop pure bodyweight strength and power. In wrestling, or any other sport, we want success. Success in wrestling is defined by winning matches. The kind of success that makes a wrestler a tournament, state, even national or world champion comes from hard work, day after day, year after year. In order to train these athletes in a sport specific manner, their workouts should include dynamic movements using the bodyweight of another person. This article will look at the best ways to accomplish this and design a wrestling specific workout.

WRESTLER TEST

Andrew Martin, who wrestled for WWE and ECW as Test, was found dead last night in his apartment by police in Tampa, Florida. Details regarding the circumstances of Martin's death were sketchy as this article was being written, but police did rule out foul play.During his WWE run, he earned various titles as Intercontinental, European, Hardcore and Tag-Team champion. Martin was just days away from celebrating his 34th birthday, which once again is sure to raise the usual questions people ask when professional wrestlers die so young. In the end, Drugs are DRUGS! I know it sounds unsympathetic, but the fault is ALWAYS that of the user.
Test was also not a "stand out wrestler." Test was not someone who should have had a bigger push! Test earned what he accomplished, nothing more or less.

WRESTLERS FASHION

An international parade of splashy Olympic uniforms this isn't. Wrestlers wear either a red or blue Lycra singlet. (We called them tights in the old days.) Bandages and supportive braces can be worn only with a doctor's note or proof of injury. The high-top wrestling shoes are worn tight around the ankles, and the rubber soles are sometimes split between the heel and ball of the foot for more flexibility. Note the absence of jewelry, too; absolutely no bling in the ring.Wrestling has been around since ancient times, and its popularity is still growing. Many young men and women aspire to become wrestlers, and looking the part is step number one. Whether you're a professional wrestler or simply dressing like one for Halloween, how to make a wrestling costume is a skill you're going to need.

WRESTLERS LIFE

We've all heard about the figures and wage packets that wrestlers like JBL, Cena, Austin and HHH earn, but is life as appealing for the smaller stars in the WWE?Most wrestlers in the WWE today are making a couple of hundred thousand dollars a year (or in the case of some superstars, a little under that or considerably less), which can be very good when you think about it, but I have spoken to fans who have assumed that they are earning more than a million dollars a year.Another area these men and women in this industry have to deal with is the fans. Though many of them can be respectful, polite and well-behaved, nevertheless, like any other industry where one is in the public eye, wrestlers do have their share of fans that can be unruly and rude, just to name a couple of situations.

WRESTLER WITHOUT ARMS AND LEGS

Dustin Carter is a high school wrestler from Hillsboro, Ohio. He doesn't have much in the way of arms or legs. This year, Carter made it all the way to the state wrestling championships.Looks can be deceiving, especially in the case of Dustin Carter. The 103-pound wrestler from Hillsboro (Ohio) High had to have each of his limbs amputated when he was 5 after contracting a rare, life-threatening blood disorder. Carter owned a 41-2 record on the season and had reached the state championships.
Who is Kyle Maynard? Kyle Maynard has been my JV 95 / 103 pounder for the last two years. Kyle was born with no legs, only two small feet turned at weird angles where the tops of the femurs are supposed to be.This past season, his sophomore year, Kyle raised his total JV record to 28-8 after winning the King of the JV Hill Tournament, the largest and toughest junior varsity tournament in Georgia.
That can be a pretty severe handicap, but try wrestling with no legs ... and no fingers, no hands and no elbows! He was born with stubs for arms that stop a few inches above where his elbows should be. So basically, Kyle competes using a neck, two shoulders, a very intelligent brain, and an enormous heart.

WRESTLERS THEN AND NOW

Twenty five years ago, back when the WWF was synonymous with something other than saving pandas, the first Wrestlemania drop-kicked professional wrestling into a generation's consciousness. In honor of the historical milestone, we go to the mat to find out what happened to those spandex-clad warriors that dominated the ring in the '80s.
The "plot" of this film is that there were interviews with up and coming stars as well as some veterans. The most famous people on this DVD are Killer Kowalski, Nikolai Volkoff, and a young Homicide. The film was recorded in 2002 but it took seven years to be released. It is obvious why this movie took so long to come out and I can't recommend any of you reading this to spend the $20 on this DVD when there are many better DVDs on the market.

WRESTLERS KISSING

For many, the best years of professional wrestling, from 1950-1985, were really the good ole days. Often referred to as old-school wrestling, interviewees reminisce that "back then wrestlers spent more time in the ring, and did a much better job of selling the match." Today it is referred to as a circus where "you sit back and watch the elephants and the clowns and the ringmaster screaming his head off."The last major gay angle was done in WCW with Lenny Lane and Lodi. Merely for doing what they were told at WCW, Turner Broadcasting demanded that they be removed from the air and proclaimed, "Lenny and Lodi will never be on another WCW broadcast ever." How fucked up is that? Straight guys getting fired and blacklisted for pretending to be gay on the orders of their bosses. They should have sued. And let's not forget what happened to Adrian Adonis when his character "turned gay" (well, actually he died in a car accident and gayness didn't really have anything to do with it, but I thought Adonis was hilarious so I wanted to work him in somehow). There are gay people in all walks of life. As some of them like to shout in parades where they dance naked down the street holding their lovers on a leash, "They're here, they're queer, get used to it." Pretending they're not there is not going to make them go away. Neither is trying to hide the kids from it. Believe me, the kids already know about it. But have a little faith in your children. They are not going to turn gay simply from knowing gay people exist. Besides, if you're worried about your kids being exposed to it, turn your damn TV off, idiot!

WORLD WRESTLING ARTICLE

As many of you know by now, the wrestling world lost Umaga (Eddie Fatu) yesterday, Dec. 4, 2009. It was quite a shame, too, as Fatu was probably the best wrestler ever at his size.
Over 300 lbs, he could fly around the ring like a guy half his size. He was amazing to watch, in my opinion, and will be missed.People such as Jeff Hardy were offered rehab and decided against it as well. Hardy, like Fatu, was released as a result of that. Hardy has been known to have had a drug issue, this much is documented.Chris Benoit, a man who many in the wrestling world really hate for killing his wife and child then himself, also had a drug problem. In probably the most unexpected move, former World Heavyweight Champion and 2008 Slammy Award-winning Superstar of the Year Chris Jericho made the leap to Friday Night Smackdown. Coming off a rather bland storyline where the erstwhile Ayatollah of Rock ‘n’ Rolla criticized Mickey Rourke for his portrayal of an aging grappler in the flim The Wrestler, Jericho will likely liven up the Friday night roster and make a run for the title. The WWF world champion is now a charter member of WCW. His allegiance to WCW at Invasion helped him get out of the comedy skits with Angle and Vince McMahon and give him major heat for his "Stone Cold" heel persona again.

WRESTLERS DRESS

A friend that I work with had what I thought was a great fancy dress idea: Wrestling Costumes. I thought that there would be hundreds of The Ultimate Warrior and Hulk Hogan costumes for sale, but doing some research I actually found the range of any sort of wrestling costume to be pretty poor.Fancy Dress costumes for all occasions and for every member of the family, from baby to Uncle Jim. Fancy dress is a great party icebreaker and makes an event even more fun for your party guests. We've got party outfits for men, ladies and children plus loads of costume accessories like masks, wigs and hats.

WRESTLER'S BODY

The Wrestler's Body tells the story of a way of life organized in terms of physical self-development.Using the insights of anthropology, Joseph Alter writes an ethnography of the wrestler's physique that elucidates the somatic structure of the wrestler's identity and ideology. While Indian wrestlers are competitive athletes, they are also moral reformers whose conception of self and society is fundamentally somatic.
as one of the central exercises in a wrestler?s vyayam regimen, it is clear that dands do more than develop the gross body. They develop the personality of the wrestler as well. The wrestler?s personality derives its strength?as a charismatic social force and as personal self-confidence?through the symbiosis of a personal experience akin to enlightenment and a physical experience of muscular development.

WRESTLERS DEAD

In the last ten years many WWF/WWE wrestlers have died. Some died from natural causes but most had came to an early death as a result of the business they’re in.The good guys and the bad guys each have their days in the sun, and their die hard fans. It’s a shame that so many have died in the name of entertainment and are now forgotten about.MORE than 100 wrestlers have died before reaching the age of 50 in the last 12 years.Of the 106 wrestler who passed away between 1997 and 2009, 42 were full-time professionals who worked regularly for a large promotion or territory in the United States and Canada. In the ring, professional wrestlers are on top of the world. It's what brings them back, over and over again, despite the vigorous, brutal nature of the sport--or entertainment franchise, if you will.Outside of the ring, it's a different story, a world of underpaid performers, steroid and drug abuse, bad managers, cruel bosses, and occasionally darker things, as the murder/suicide story of Chris Benoit showed the country. Here's a look at three professional wrestlers, other than Benoit, whose lives took a sad and tragic turn.

WRESTLERS DRUGS

it's funny:
While many people think of wrestling as a big joke, there is one thing about wrestling that isn't funny. The first time this story was covered by the national media was in 2003 on HBO's Real Sports with Bryant Gumble. The death rate among wrestlers is alarmingly high. That segment featured Vince McMahon mocking the interviewer and slapping the notes from his hands. In addition, the only wrestler to speak up for the wrestlers, Roddy Piper, was fired after the piece aired. The number of wrestlers who die early is surprisingly high. Even though most wrestling matches are choreographed and the results are pre-determined, the work involved preparing and performing those matches is colossal. Professional wrestlers spend most of their time on the road, there is no off season, accidents are common, as are drugs. Wrestlers are notoriously addicted to painkillers to numb the pain that comes with the job. The problem with painkillers is that they make the wrestler slow and lethargic, so he has to take another drug to pep him up. In order to look super-human they take more drugs and hormones.
Not all the wrestlers die due to the reasons stated above. Some die due to travel related incidents because of all the time on the road. Some have even died as a result of injuries suffered in the ring. Unfortunately, the least common way that wrestlers seem to be dying is due to old age.The troubled relationship between pro-wrestling and drug addiction has been no secret in the past and has recently come to a head with critics and the Sports Commission. After the death of Eddie Guerrero, one of pro-wrestling’s biggest stars, World Wrestling Entertainment, the company announced the introduction of the Wellness Policy, which would require employees to submit to random drugs testing. While this has proved to be unpopular with some of the performers themselves, it is a necessary step to protect the reputation of a multi-million dollar enterprise that pulls in millions viewers each week to their flagship show, WWE Raw, worldwide. The WWE has broadcasting rights in the US, Europe, Asia and Australia and even had genuine appearances by Presidential candidate John McCaine and now-Presidential Electorate Barack Obama.

WRESTLERS DIET

To get a rough estimate of how many calories you need in a day, take your weight and multiply by 17. (This is for very active people, such as wrestlers). A 140 wrestler needs 2380 calories to maintain his weight, less to lose weight and more to gain weight. Now take a look below to find out what foods you should eat to get those calories. Calories and grams of fat per serving for most foods can be read from their Nutrition Information label. If you need Nutrition Information for a certain food, including eggs, meat, and other things that don't usually have these labels.
Most wrestlers feel that they have more success when wrestling at a lower weight class, but cutting weight can be difficult and dangerous. With careful practice, however, you can master the art of cutting weight so that you feel little to no loss of energy by the time your match comes up.
Wrestlers are very hard-working athletes, and their diets must not only provide them with sustaining energy but also not adversely affect their weight. There are certain foods wrestlers can add to their diets in order to get vital nutrients and carbs while at the same time keep their weight under control.

WRESTLER'S FUNNY KNOWLEDGE

Jillian's gimmick is that she's a terrible singer. So naturally, she released an album. She have a nice voice. It debuted in the Billboard Top 200, prompting the question: Why would anyone buy an album that is intentionally irritating?
At least Nickelback tries. It is a realy beautiful song.Hall massacred five classic Christmas songs in the mercifully short A Jingle with Jillian.

RUSSIAN WRESTLERS

Russian women are to mud wrestle in Novosibirsk, west Siberia, in late March, the organizers of the show said on Friday.Any Russian girl of any age will be able to take part in the show.
"An attractive appearance will be of great importance during the selection contest," Vladislav Payev said."The winner of the bouts will be the person who gets her opponent on her shoulders," a spokesman said, adding that the women would be banned from biting, scratching, and landing direct blows on their opponents. The match will take place in a night club at a special ring covered with a five-centimeter (two inches) layer of clay. Each of the participants will have a unique image and her own nickname. The winners of the fights in Siberia will meet with women wrestlers from Ukraine and Poland.

YOUNG BOY WRESTLER

The death of a teenage sumo trainee, who was beaten savagely by his stable-master and bullied mercilessly by older wrestlers, has thrown open the secretive world of the national sport of Japan and horrified its fans.Yesterday’s tearful public appearance by the father of the dead boy is likely to destroy the dignified image of sumo for ever.Match-fixing allegations and other scandals that have arisen this year have already dented sumo’s image as a sport of noble traditions and samurai honour. The death of 17-year-old Takashi Saito has exposed it as a murky domain where bullying is rife and violence is part of daily life.Weeping, he demanded that the Sumo Association tell the truth and take steps to prevent a repeat of the abuse that cost the life of Takashi.Masato Saito begged the sport’s authorities to end their cover-up of his son’s sudden death.
In what would be the first arrest of a sumo stable-master, police sources said that they were likely to charge Junichi Yamamoto in the next few days with causing the death of his teenage jonokuchi – the most junior rank of wrestler. As details of Takashi’s death have trickled out – officially he died from heart failure in June while preparing for a tournament – a grim reality has emerged. The life of aspiring young sumo wrestlers is notoriously tough, but until yesterday it was always assumed that the stable-masters had the best interests of their wrestlers at heart and knew where to draw the line. Hit repeatedly on the head with a beer bottle by his instructor, kicked by his fellow students and later pummelled with a metal baseball bat, Takashi’s short career in sumo has been exposed as a daily ordeal.
As punishment for his desertion, his mobile phone was smashed to bits to deny him any contact with his family and the outside world. He ran away twice from the stable but was forced back into the fold by older wrestlers. In a move that Mr Saito now regrets bitterly, he told his son to stick it out rather than quit.On the day before his death Takashi was forced to endure an ordeal that coroners at Niigata University believe may have led to his death. Butsukari geiko is so fierce that wrestlers are limited to only three or four minutes. On the day before he died Takashi was exposed to 30 minutes of battery by bigger, stronger wrestlers. As part of their training regime, wrestlers are put through regular sessions of butsukari geiko – a bone-crunching process in which young sumo are repeatedly charged into by their peers to prepare them for the violence in a match. The aftermath of his death has revealed increasingly desperate attempts by the stable-master to cover up what went on at his school.Initially, Mr Yamamoto denied that there had been any violence involved in the boy’s death. Then Takashi’s parents became suspicious when the stable-master offered to pay for a quick cremation of their son. When the body was returned to them covered in bruises and scars, they demanded the postmortem examination that revealed what had happened. The scandal comes as sumo is trying desperately to win back the support of ordinary Japanese – fans who have recoiled in horror at a series of match-fixing allegations and the perceived ill-treatment of its Mongolian grand champion, Asashoryu, who is now receiving medical treatment for a stress-related disorder.

NEW WRESTLERS

For those keeping track, Dolph Ziggler has taken part in twenty-six Intercontinental title matches at various events within the past few months, losing all but two. He won one match via count-out with another match being ruled a double count-out. Furthermore, he has come up short in retrieving the title on television on seven different occasions including Night of Champions, SummerSlam, Hell in the Cell and four separate episodes of Friday Night SmackDown.Ziggler was at one point scheduled to win the title from Rey Mysterio over the summer, but the high-flying Superstar vetoed dropping the title to him on more than one occasion. When push came to shove as a result of a 30-day suspension for violating the company’s drug testing policy in early September, Mysterio agreed to drop the title to John Morrison. Now it appears that the ship has sailed on Ziggler nabbing the gold as WWE officials have reportedly “given up on him.”On a related noted, Ziggler was voted the “Most Deserving of a Title Shot” among his peers in the “Superstar Survey” taken for the latest issue of WWE Magazine.

WRESTLING IN PAKISTAN

In Pakistan wrestling has a long and honourable history which can be traced a couple of centuries back. However, the glorious traditions of wrestling in our country started with the advent of that great son of Kashmir, the mighty Siddiqa who was at the peak of his powers 125 year ago. The great exponent of Pakistan national style of wrestling was Khalifa Nooruddin who lived in the reign of Aurangzeb. However, to this day he is considered the greatest of the great. After Siddiqa, came Boota Pehelwan, the most scientific of the big wrestlers, and on to Ghulam, Rahim Sultaniwala and Karim Bakhsh Paileeraywala. The latter is considered the most scientific wrestler ever produced by this country, a scholar and a master of art of wrestling at 210 lbs., he flattened all opposition. And later we have the advent of the famous late Gama, who claimed the title of word champion; and his remarkable brother, Imam Bakhsh. As a point of interest it is mentioned here that these great wrestlers, without exception were from among people who had migrated from Kashmir. We are concerned with the advent of Olympic freestyle wrestling in Pakistan. It was in 1953 that the Pakistan Amateur Wrestling Federation was formed in Lahore by a few enthusiasts brought the name of Pakistan in this style of wrestling in world competitions. Though the first three National Championships, in 1948, 1950 and 1952 had been held, yet the international rules were not observed fully and it was this lack of knowledge which was responsible, in 1948, for a team being entered in the Greco-Roman style instead of Free-style and scratched from the wrestling competition in the 14th Olympics, in London. It was only on the occasion of the 4th championships, in 1954, under the control of the Federation, that wrestling was held on a proper mat and strictly under the FILA rules. In 1954, a wrestler, Din Muhammad, was responsible for winning the first gold medal in any international competition for Pakistan when he emerged victorious in the flyweight class of the 2nd Asian Games at Manila. The Pakistani wrestlers have won many medals in the British Empire and Commonwealth Games till this country pulled out of that organization. Pakistan had also been dominating in wrestling competitions of the Asian Games alongwith brotherly Muslim country, Iran. But for a decade or so the countries like North and South Korea and Japan have made a tremendous progress in this manly art and have challenged the supremacy of the two Muslim countries. Pakistan's greatest moment of glory in wrestling, rather any individual sport, came during the 1960 Rome Olympics, when welterweight Muhammad Bashir grabbed a bronze medal. This medal won by Pakistan in the free-style competition is the one and only.

NIPPLE WRESTLERS

The men in this Wrestlemania billboard, if you look closely, have no nipples. They were photoshopped out supposedly because of a law in Florida that prohibits the display of nipples. Since men’s nipples are not sexualized in the same way that women’s are, the authors of the law were likely thinking of women’s bodies as they penned this ban. It may illustrate that it is women’s bodies that we think of when we think of bodies on display because of the adoption (by men and women alike in this culture) of a (heteronormative) male gaze.

HISTORY OF NUDE WRESTLER

During the Victorian era, public nakedness was considered obscene. In addition to beaches being segregatec by gender, bathing machines were also used to conceal the naked body. In the early 20th century, exposure of male nipples was considered indecent at some beaches. This is in contrast to in the Middle Ages, when the bething suits worn by men, while covering the genitals, often nonetheless made them quite obvious.
Sport in the modern sense of the word became popular only in the 19th century. Nudity in this context was most common in Germany and the Nordic countries, where Body culture was very much revered (and some say, copied) by Nazi ideologues.
In the Nordic countries, with their sauna culture, nude swimming in rivers or lakes was a very popular tradition. In the summer, there would be wooden bathhouses, often of considerable size accommodating numerous swimmers, built partly over the water; hoardings prevented the bathers from being seen from outside. Originally the bathhouses were for men only; today there are usually separate sections for men and women. For the Olympic Games in Stockholm in 1912, the official poster was created by a distinguished artist. It depicted several naked male athletes (their genitals obscured) and was for that reason considered too daring for distribution in certain countries. Posters for the 1920 Olympics in Antwep, the 1924 Olympics in Paris, and the 1952 Olympics in Helsinki also featured nude male figures, evoking the classical origins of the games. The poster for the 1948 London Olympics featured a classical nude sculpture of a discus thrower.
An occasional—often illegal—naked sideshow is when a member of the public uses a sports venue to perform as a streaker. Streaking became more popular in the 1970s. It wasn't until the 1990s (and after) that nudity became expected at major public events, such as Bay to Breakers and World Naked Bike Ride.

PAKISTANI WRESTLER VS INDIAN WRESTLER

Top wrestlers from India and Pakistan would be sweating it out with each other in the Challenge Cup Dangal (wrestling tournament) scheduled to be held in Lahore next month.
Speaking to media persons during a press conference, Pervaiz Shahid, chairman of CMC Bank Alfalah, the main sponsor of the event, said the tournament would be inaugurated on 13th December in Lahore and the final will be held in Karachi on 20th December.
The winner of the tournament would take home an impressive one million rupees as prize money, The Nation reports.
Interacting with newspersons, top Pakistani wrestler, Bashir Bhola Bhala said he is confident of winning the tournament, as he has already overpowered leading Indian wrestlers in a number of tournaments.

BOLIVIAN WRESTLER

At the largest public gymnasium in El Alto, Bolivia, daylight is fading from the windows, and hundreds of people along the bleachers are growing impatient. They have been sitting for more than two hours now, jeering and whistling and yelling encouragement at the succession of artistas who have faced off in the center of the gym to match wits and perform dazzling feats of strength and skill. But it is growing late, and over the blaring disco music, foot-stomping and impatient whistles can be heard in crescendo: "Bring them on!" The music grows louder, the whistling too; there is a sense that rebellion may be about to erupt, but at last the houselights flash and dim, and the music shifts to the chunka-chunka beat of a modern Bolivian huayno. An announcer emotes into the microphone, the curtains leading to the locker rooms part, and "Amorous Yolanda" and "Evil Claudina," this evening's stars, make their longed-for appearance to ecstatic applause.
Like many of the women of Aymara descent in the audience, Yolanda and Claudina are dressed to the nines in the traditional fashion of the Andean highlands: shiny skirts over layers of petticoats, embroidered shawls pinned with filigreed jewelry, bowler hats. Their costumes glisten in the spotlights while they make a regal progress around the bleachers, greeting their public with the genteel smiles of princesses, twirling and waving gracefully until the music stops. That's the sign for the two women to swing themselves deftly onto the wrestling ring that has been the focus of this afternoon's activity. Swiftly they remove their hats, unpin their shawls, and ... whap, whap, whap! Claudina belts Yolanda one, Yolanda slaps Claudina, Claudina tries to escape, but Yolanda grabs Claudina by her pigtails and spins her around, and WHAM! Claudina whirls through the air, petticoats and braids flying, and lands flat on her back on the mat, gasping like a fish. The audience goes nuts.

MICKEY JAMES VS GAIL KIM

WWE started Summerslam on RAW with two title defences, including Mickey James defending against #1 Contender Gail Kim.
Gail Kim and Mickey James put on a great back and forth with each Diva at times mirroring each other’s moves. The end came when Gail went for a cross body on Mickey that Mickey rolled under. Gail landed hard on her jaw and was basically out of it. Mickey attempted to DDT a dazed Gail Kim only to have Gail counter the DDT on instinct. Mickey’s follow up with a lose spinning leg kick and an elbow toppled Gail backwards onto the mat. It took Mickey a moment to realise Gail wasn’t getting back up before Mickey covered Gail Kim for a three count.
After the match, Mickey helped Gail stand and when she still wasn’t responding, Mickey lifted Gail’s hand with her’s to the crowd.
It looks like Gail really was knocked senseless by the crossbody and we’re hoping she’s alright. Both Mickey and Gail were feeling each other out throughout this rushed 3:30 title defense and we think both girls could put on one hell of a program against each other.
While some people refer to Mickey’s ending elbow as the ELBOW of doom, we seriously think Mickey could have bowled Gail over with the FINGERPOKE of doom at the end. Great match, tough ending and a tough crowd still punch drunk from the return of DX and the beatdown by Legacy.

AKSHAY KUMAR WRESTLER

Bollywood action star Akshay Kumar has ’adopted’ six wrestlers, who are economically backward, in a bid to popularise the sport, an official said Wednesday.”Akshay’s decision came days before the 10th All India Wrestling Championship opens here Feb 1. Participants and lovers of this sport from all over India are expected to gather here,” said Sanjay Nirupam, Congress spokesman in Maharashtra and organiser of the event.
“Last year, when Akshay attended the programme, he had publicly expressed a desire to adopt a few wrestlers to encourage more to take up the ancient Indian sport. We are happy that he has honoured the commitment,” Nirupam told.Nirupam introduced six of the year’s best wrestlers to Akshay and the star readily accepted the proposal. The wrestlers are – Bipin Varma, Ajay Yadav, Kallu Yadav, Gopal Yadav (all from Mumbai), Amol Patil (Jalgaon) and Ranjeet Nalawade (Kolhapur).
Nirupam said that the ’adoption’ means that Akshay will sponsor their diet for the next five years.”Wrestlers usually hail from economically backward sections and are unable to afford the specialised diet to excel in the challenging sport. Akshay’s sponsorship will go a long way in helping these six wrestlers confidently tackle domestic and international challenges, including the next Olympics – our prime target,” Nirupam explained.
While Akshay is a self-confessed fitness freak and martial arts lover, his father Hari Om Bhatia was an accomplished wrester from Punjab.Akshay had committed last year that he would bear the costs – “whatever be the amount” – of the professional needs of the selected wrestlers and ensure that their career did not run aground due to financial constraints. The Wrestling Championship is organised by Maharashtra Wrestling Association (MWA) and will see the participation of a few women wrestlers too. The event will be held at the Andheri Sports Complex here.

How to Understand Wrestling Holds

1- Understand the clinch. The clinch is one of the most loved and hated holds in wrestling and grappling sports. A clinch generally involves one wrestler holding his opponent in a dominant position while both wrestlers are still standing. The clinch comes in familiar forms like the bear hug and high clinch and more specialized forms such as the overhook and pinch grip clinch that are used in Greco-Roman wrestling.
2- Learn the pinning hold. Pinning holds are used to keep an opponent in place on the ground until a better move or position can be attained. There are many different kinds of pinning holds from different wrestling and grappling arts. In certain wrestling sports such as judo, maintaining a pinning hold on an opponent for a certain amount of time constitutes a win.
3- Watch for submission and pain compliance holds. Submission holds constitute the fight or match ending moves in a number of wrestling sports. There are hundreds of pain compliance holds that vary in form from joint and bone locks and pressure application to chokes. Wrestlers and martial artists constantly maneuver to get their opponent locked into a submission hold to win the fight. So check out pinning holds to better understand wrestling holds.
4- Know the common holds. There are a few holds that are used or attempted in almost every fighting match that incorporates wrestling holds. Among these common holds are the triangle choke, the arm bar, the shoulder wrench, the guillotine choke, the Achilles lock and the wrist lock. Watch wrestling matches to identify the common holds in order to better understand wrestling holds in general.

HOT MARYSE OUELLET

Maryse Ouellet was born January 21, 1983. WWE diva Maryse is a French Canadian glamour model and professional wrestler currently working for World Wrestling Entertainment on its SmackDown brand, where she is the reigning WWE Divas Champion.
WWE diva Maryse Ouellet start her career as a beauty pageant contestant, winning Miss Hawaiian Tropic Canada 2003 and finishing second at the International Finals of Miss Hawaiian Tropic 2004. After that Maryse made several appearances in various newspapers, magazines and television programs in Canada, as well as appearing on the cover and the inside pages of a special edition of Playboy Magazine in the summer of 2006.
In the summer of 2006, Maryse tried out for World Wrestling Entertainments Diva Search. She made the final cut and was one of the top eight featured on WWE, but on the July 24 episode of WWE Raw she became the second person to be eliminated from the search. Despite her elimination, she was invited to observe workouts and the training facility between August 13-17, 2006 at WWE's developmental facility, Ohio Valley Wrestling. Although she understood that there was no guarantee that this will lead to full time employment with the WWE, she was grateful to have been given another opportunity to live out her dream. Stating in a WWE.com interview "I can just cry, my feeling right now," Ouellet said. "I'm very excited, it was very, very good news."

TOP MEN WRESTLER

1.THE Undertaker:
Since entering the WWE in 1990, the Undertaker has had several scary transformations. He started off as a zombie-like mortician who would stuff his opponents in a body bag. A few years later, he became the head of the cult-like Ministry of Darkness. He sacrificed his enemies on a giant symbol, tried to embalm Steve Austin, and attempted to marry Stephanie McMahon in a bizarre dark wedding. This mysterious individual has ever-changing supernatural powers. He now has the ability to send his opponents to hell. After a 2008 match against Edge, he threw him through the mat and with the movement of his arms flames appeared from the hole he sent Edge through.
2. Papa Shango

Papa Shango was a voodoo master that would come to the ring with a smoking skull. He is most famous for putting a curse on the Ultimate Warrior which once caused him to vomit on national TV. He also caused a black ooze to seep out of Warrior’s hair. Papa Shango went onto be known as the Godfather, the first pimp in WWF history.
3. Kane

Kane is the son of an affair between Paul Bearer and the Undertaker’s mother. Kane and his half-brother have been both the greatest of enemies and the best of friends. Like his half-brother, he can be exceptionally ruthless and impervious to pain. He has set several people on fire during his time in the WWE, forced Lita to marry him, and tortured Shane McMahon by attaching a car battery to his private parts. He is so scary that he starred in a horror movie, See No Evil, and didn't need any makeup.
4. Jake Roberts

Jake used to come to the ring with his python Damien. After Damien was squashed by Earthquake, Jake went off the deep-end. His new snake was a cobra named Lucifer. That snake is most famous for gnawing on the arm of Randy Savage for several minutes. During that era, he also turned on his friend the Ultimate Warrior by talking him into doing some bizarre stunts to prepare for a feud with the Undertaker. He made Warrior stay in a coffin, be buried up to his neck, and enter a room full of snakes.
5. Kevin Sullivan

During the '80s, Kevin was a leader of a cult in the Florida wrestling promotion. The Army of Darkness did not care about titles; they were after the soul of Dusty Rhodes. A decade later, that character was repacked as the Taskmaster in WCW. In WCW, he led a group called the Dungeon of Doom that wanted to kill Hulkamania.
6. Abdullah the Butcher

Abdullah was a 400-plus pound wrestler who was more interested in using his fork on the head of his opponent than trying to pin him. He had the most bizarre physique that allowed him to hide his weapons from the referee. His man-boobs were so large that he could hide a weapon in the folds of fat that hung off his sides. Every time he entered the ring, fans could expect a gory spectacle.
7. Paul Bearer

Paul Bearer started his WWF career as the manager of the Undertaker. For several years, he hosted The Funeral Parlor. He later admitted to having an affair with the Undertaker’s mommy and being the father of Kane. During his years as the manger of both Kane and the Undertaker, he helped both men do some depraved acts. Paul Bearer was murdered by the Undertaker a few years ago when he was buried alive in a concrete crypt.
8. The Boogeyman

The Boogeyman made his debut by reciting scary nursery rhymes and then breaking a clock over his head while screaming that “the Boogeyman is comin’ to getcha.” Despite threatening the fans in such a terrifying manner, the Boogeyman worked for good as he scared the bad guys of the WWE with his zany antics which always included eating a handful of worms.
9. The YetiSometimes

I can’t believe what I am writing. This is one of those cases. After Hulk Hogan killed the Giant by throwing him off the roof of the arena after a monster truck battle, the Giant came back to life and beat Hulk for the title later in the evening. If that wasn’t terrifying enough, after the match the Yeti made one of his rare appearances. The Yeti was a mummy that emerged from his frozen state to do something that can only be described as dry humping the Hulkster.
10. The KISS Demon

It is hard to believe that WCW went out of business when they invested in such great things as paying Gene Simmons to use his likeness as a wrestler. The Demon came out of a coffin accompanied by KISS music to enter the ring. His most famous match was a graveyard match against Vampiro where both men fought in a dimly lit graveyard. Wrestling fans are forever grateful that the gimmick was dropped before we got to see Peter, Paul, and Ace join him in the ring.

UNDERTAKER HISTORY

For nearly 15 years now, the Undertaker has been the unstoppable force in World Wrestling Entertainment. He is the Phenom, the Dead Man, the monster who always seems to be able to rise up no matter the assault. He has made hundreds of wrestlers Rest In Peace, either by Tombstone Piledriving them through the mat or by giving them the devestating Last Ride Powerbomb. He is a four-time WWF/WWE World Heavyweight Champion, and has held the WWF/WWE World Tag-Team Titles half a dozen times. Yet more remarkably than all that, the Undertaker is still going strong as a major threat to any foe that happens to be in his way.
Mark Calloway grew up in Dallas, Texas, where he continued to grow in size and power as he went into high school. He played basketball at West Texas High, with his height (over 6 feet at the time) giving him a sizable advantage in the game. But Calloway's love of the sport was overshadowed by another interest: professional wrestling. Despite being offered athletic scholarships to go to college, Calloway opted to began training as a wrestler instead, where he was discovered by Fritz von Erich and given a referral to Don Jardine, who was better known in wrestling circles as the Spoiler. Calloway debuted as the masked Texas Red in '84, facing (and being brutally beat by) Bruiser Brody. Part of the reason Calloway wore a mask was because of his high school basketball coach, who was reportedly upset at a great b-ball player "wasting his time" with wrestling. When it came down to a choice, though, Calloway went with what he loved: wrestling.

It was announced at the next Raw that the WWF had become World Wrestling Entertainment (due to a lawsuit with the World Wildlife Fund). During the night, the Undertaker's motorcycle was stolen by Hogan, who later destroyed it by hitting it with an 18-wheeler. The Undertaker got revenge in a brutal way the next week, as he attacked Hogan with a tire iron, then chained him to a motorcycle and dragged him behind it, eventually sending Hogan spinning into some boxes. Hogan had to be put on a stretcher. At Judgment Day '02, the two men went at it for Hogan's Undisputed World Title. The match started with the Undertaker using Hogan's own weight belt against him, only to have Hogan steal it back and whip the Undertaker instead. The two legends fought in and out of the ring, with the Undertaker getting busted open at one point. At the end, Hogan "hulked up" and had the Dead Man on the ropes, getting the Immortal Leg Drop, but the Undertaker kicked out at 2. The Undertaker then managed to take Hogan down and grab a chair, only to have the Hulkster kick it back into his face. But when Hogan went for the pin, the ref was distracted by Mr. McMahon, who had come to ringside. While Hogan attacked and Leg Dropped Mr. McMahon, the Undertaker recovered, flattening Hogan with a chair shot, then Chokeslamming him for the pin, winning the WWE World Title for the fourth time.
The Undertaker made an immediate impact on the next Raw, as he attacked Rob Van Dam from behind when RVD was coming out for the first match. The Dead Man claimed that, since he was the World Champ, no one should come out before him. However, before he could finish his speech, a recovered RVD attacked, catching the Undertaker with the Five Star Frog Splash. This led to the Undertaker defending the World Title one night after winning it, and nearly losing it, as RVD pinned him after hitting his Rolling Thunder. But since the Undertaker's feet were on the ropes, the now-heel GM, Flair, restarted the match, and the Undertaker caught the distracted Van Dam with the Last Ride for the victory. The Undertaker continued his brutal streak the next Raw, making Tommy Dreamer drink his tobacco spit, then taking Dreamer out.
Going into June '02, the Undertaker got into a match with Dreamer, beating him with the Dragon Sleeper, then dumping a bucket of vomit that Dreamer had brought to the ring onto the downed wrestler. However, the Undertaker was then attacked by Jeff Hardy, who dropkicked him into the vomit, a disgusting sight. The Undertaker went to get Hardy afterwards, but was only able to find his brother, Matt, whom the Undertaker gladly beat up as a message to Jeff. On the next Smackdown, the Undertaker made an appearance, attacking the man who won the right to challenge for the title at the next PPV, Triple H. The Undertaker then returned to Raw to call out the Hardy Boyz, who decided to answer his call, taking out the Undertaker with a double-team while using a ladder. The feud between the Undertaker & the Hardyz continued the next week, as the Dead Man defeated Matt in a Non-Title Match, thanks in part to Raven helping to take out Jeff. After the match, while Raven subdued Matt, the Undertaker destroyed Jeff. He then spoke in the back afterwards, stating that this was what Triple H had in store for him.
On the Smackdown before the PPV, the Undertaker went to try and assault Triple H after he had just had a match with Billy Gunn. Kurt Angle also came down to help out, but accidentally hit the Undertaker with a steel chair in the process. A furious Undertaker demanded a Non-Title Match with Angle that night, which Mr. McMahon reluctantly gave. Both the Undertaker and Angle talked about destroying each other, which led Mr. McMahon to bring both to his office. The boss tried to get both men to shake hands and agree to have a "clean competition", i.e. not cause any injuries before the PPV. But the two men couldn't be contained, as things erupted into a brawl in the boss's office! The match was just as intense, with both men looking for a big move for the win. Near the end, the Undertaker managed to escape the Ankle Lock, then got a Chokeslam. But he was then distracted by Triple H, who came to ringside. Angle then rolled up the Undertaker from behind, getting the quick victory! Afterwards, the Undertaker and Triple H brawled, while Angle had to deal with Hulk Hogan.
The fight between the Undertaker and Triple H at King of the Ring '02 was a brutal one, as old emotions roared to the surface. During the match, the referee was taken out, adding to the chaos. This was only heightened as the Rock came to the announcers' table. Meanwhile, the Undertaker tried to use a steel chair on Triple H, only to be knocked out of the ring. The Undertaker then opted to nail the Rock, before reentering the ring. The Rock followed with the chair, but accidentally hit Triple H instead, bloodying him! The Undertaker quickly took advantage, nailing Triple H with the Last Ride. But when a 2nd ref could only get a 2 count, the Undertaker attacked him as well, throwing him out. This, though, allowed the Rock to reenter and get the Rock Bottom on the Dead Man. Triple H recovered and got the Pedigree, but the 1st ref was still down. As Triple H went to get him up, the Undertaker scored a low blow, then rolled him up for the pin, retaining the Undisputed World Title.
The Undertaker had a Non-Title Match with Jeff Hardy the next day, defeating him with the Last Ride. But a resilient Jeff challenged the Undertaker to another match on the next Raw, a Ladder Match for the Undisputed Title! The Undertaker agreed, setting the stage for a great non-PPV bout.

GOOD FIGHTERS

Lately everyone, including myself, have thought, “Oh, god, Randy Couture is gonna die.”
But this couldn’t be further from the truth. Couture’s less-than-impressive 16 wins, 8 losses record says very little about the champion. For a fighter that has come back at an age when many fighters would end their careers, Couture has only learned from his losses, and has finally begun to shine.Brock Lesnar on the other hand, has merely had the surprising wins that most over-sized MMA fighters have had early in their career, before succumbing to true martial artists.Brock Lesnar’s fight with Heath Herring was a fluke in the nicest way of the word. In fact, Heath Herring has recently said he would like a rematch with Lesnar. What happened in that fight was a lucky punch Herring never saw coming, that in turn, hurt Herring for the rest of the “beating.” Herring never attempted anything in that fight other than defending himself. Now for those of you who still doubt me, I want to point out that Herring, while being a good fighter, never reached the status of the “Elite”; characterized by fighters such as Antonio Rodrigo Noguiera, Fedor Emelianenko, and Mirko “Crocop” Filipovic, in the late Pride FC organization.Herring’s greatest attribute and road to fame comes from his experience fighting these “Elite” fighters. The commentators were right; we didn’t know what Lesnar was going to do because we hadn’t seen him fight before. But now that we have, it should be a fairly straightforward fight for Randy Couture.
It’s not going be easy, just like Gabriel Gonzaga wasn’t easy or Tim Sylvia wasn’t easy. Those two fighters combined have the physical attributes and much more technical skill than Lesnar, yet they lost to “The Natural.”So, is Lesnar a different type of monster? No, he’s the same as Mark Coleman, Mark Hunt, Kevin Randleman, and any other fighter whose physique would make a mere mortal tremble with fear at the thought of stepping in the ring with them. The truth is, this is an epic match, rarely seen since Bas Rutten, a very skilled striker, fought Kevin Randleman, a monster of a wrestler. These epic fights are usually what the great Fedor is known for. I equate Bas with Couture because Bas was the veteran champ against Randleman just like Couture is the veteran champ against Lesnar.

WRESTLING FITNESS AND EXERCISES

Wrestling has been around for a long time. The first time two men grappled and began to battle, wrestling was born. Cave drawings depicting wrestlers from 3000 BC have been found in the Sumero-Akkadian civilization. Some ancient Egyptian civilizations have similar paintings dating back to 2400 BC.
If you're looking to improve your wrestling or just seeking to prevent wrestling injuries it is important to follow the information in this article. In addition, making stretching a part of your fitness regime will have a significant impact. To get you started on a safe and effective stretching routine.
Wrestling as a sport can be traced back to the ancient Olympics. Wrestling was recorded in the 708 BC Olympic records. Since that time wrestling has been practiced throughout the world. There are hundreds of styles of wrestling throughout the world, with many indigenous forms.
There are four main forms of wrestling in the international amateur competitive wrestling arena. These four forms are; Greco-Roman wrestling, freestyle wrestling, judo wrestling, and sombo wrestling. Judo wrestling is often considered one of the martial arts, and is contested separately at the Olympics. Freestyle wrestling is similar to the American collegiate style of wrestling, with relatively unlimited holds (provided they are not dangerous.) Greco-Roman wrestling limits holds to the upper body only. Sombo wrestling is a combination of freestyle and judo wrestling. This version has not yet been added to the Olympic competition.
Wrestling was a part of the first modern Olympic program in 1896. The organizers of the games considered wrestling to be of such historical significance that it became the focus of the Games. Greco-Roman wrestling was believed to be a true reincarnation of ancient Roman and Greek wrestling. Both freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling have been a part of Olympic competition since 1920. Before that only one style was contested. In 2004 four classes of women’s wrestling were introduced at the Olympic Games in Atlanta.
Competitors are weighed prior to competition and compete in the weight category in which they fit. The categories for men are: 55 kg, 60 kg, 66 kg, 74 kg, 84 kg, 96 kg, and 120 kg. For women the categories include; 48 kg, 51 kg, 55 kg, 59 kg, 63 kg, 67 kg, and 72 kg (with 48, 55, 63 and 72 being the ones used in Olympic competition.)
Modern professional wrestling only loosely resembles wrestling at all. It is designed for entertainment instead of sport. The "wrestlers" are arguably still very athletic and often use loose interpretations of traditional wrestling moves. The professional wrestler is more an entertainer than an athlete, and is rewarded for being flamboyant and a good actor.
